A POPULAR lollipop man says he has been forced to take sick leave with anxiety and stress after Essex County Council threatened him with disciplinary action for "stirring up trouble".

Brian Collins, 74, has been the crossing guard on Hullbridge Road,
South Woodham Ferrers, for nearly 15 years, but worked his last day there on Friday after being reassigned to Ferrers Road when a colleague who covered it retired.
